Normal Reinstall
Step-by-step procedure for reinstalling Windows 11 Pro using a USB flash drive.
Difficulty: Simple | Average Execution Time: 15 Minutes
Create Installation USB
Download the official Windows 11 Media Creation Tool. Run as Administrator, select Create Installation media (USB Flash drive), and select your USB drive (8GB+ required).
Precaution: Download your motherboard's LAN/Network driver from your manufacturer's website and save it onto the USB drive in case Windows 11 setup needs offline network drivers.
Boot into USB Installer
Restart your PC while holding Shift. Click Use a device and choose your USB Flash drive (or press your motherboard boot menu key F11 / F12 / F8 during startup).
Select Windows 11 Pro
Click I don't have a product key, choose Windows 11 Pro (Required!), and select Custom: Install Windows Only (advanced).
Wipe Internal Drives via Diskpart
Press SHIFT + F10 to open Command Prompt. Type the following diskpart commands to wipe all internal OS drives completely clean of trace files:
Identify your USB by its smaller capacity in
list disk and clean only internal SSDs/HDDs (e.g. Disk 0, Disk 1).
Install & Setup Offline Local Account
Close Command Prompt, click Refresh, select your main unallocated drive space, and click Next. Once setup finishes:
- Create a fresh offline local account (or a brand-new Microsoft account). Never log into your old accounts.
- Turn OFF all Windows 11 telemetry and privacy settings during setup.
- Do NOT log into OneDrive, GeForce Experience, or Medal with old credentials.
